November Wrap-Up

Throughout the month of November, the exploration of praise by the children has led us to one definite conclusion, praise is our response for the joy we have in life. We praise God for opportunity, for safety, for new beginnings, and for life itself.

This last week of November also marks the first Sunday of Advent. Psalm 148 is often heard in context of the Christmas account because Jesus came for all creation, and that entire creation can praise God for Jesus and the salvation that He brought us. Advent is a time of waiting. But it is also a time for celebration! We celebrate Jesus’ birth! Let the world rejoice!

The very birth of Jesus is a great reason for joy, for He came to give life and to give it more abundantly. Isn’t that alone an awesome reason to give praise to God?

Allow your children to ponder the beginning of the Advent season leading to Christmas. Children are naturally excited. It is that excitement which can lead to joy, which can then lead to praise of the most worthy and holy God.
